Why did we start?

Skeptic is a Swiss-based luxury streetwear brand, founded by Max Sakara in 2023.

We started Skeptic because we love fashion but believe that the fashion world can do better. We are committed to creating high-quality products that don’t just look good but also do good. This means ensuring our products are made in ways that benefit everyone involved.

What is the goal of our brand?

The goal of our brand is to combine the worlds of streetwear and high-end luxury, creating a unique fashion identity that resonates with those who appreciate both, the creative energy of street culture and the perfect craftsmanship of luxury fashion.

We want to transmit this vision by designing streetwear-oriented products that employ the same premium fabrics and materials found in luxury brands. This approach ensures that each piece we create is not only stylish but also possesses the timeless quality and durability that define luxury products.

What is the story behind the brand’s name and logo?

The name “Skeptic” comes from the philosophy of skepticism, reflecting a thoughtful questioning towards the fashion industry. A lot of people are very skeptical about the transparency and authenticity in the fashion world. That’s what inspired us to create a brand that stands for honesty, transparency and quality. “Skeptic” is more than just a name. It’s a call to consumers to be careful with brands they support, encouraging a community where questioning and integrity are valued.

Our logo is a symbol to this philosophy, with a design that cleverly incorporates a question mark into the letter “S”. It symbolises our encouragment for everyone to ask questions and seek the truth, whether in fashion or in life.

How do we ensure the quality of our products?

At Skeptic we are extremely committed to the quality of our products. We produce our own fabrics, ensuring that every thread meets our high standards for both luxury and environmental responsibility. By working with manufacturers who also create garments for renowned brands like Balenciaga or Acne Studios, we position ourselves with the best in the industry.

To perfect our designs, we produce several samples of each product. This step is crucial for refining the fit, feel and durability of our products. Once the design is finalised, our manufacturing partners conduct a quality control process to ensure every item meets our exact expectations.

But our commitment doesn’t stop there. When the products arrive at our warehouse, we start our own quality control process. This double layer of control guarantees that no detail is overlooked, from stitching to the fit. Only after passing all of these quality controls do we consider our products ready for our customers.
